  • What’s dumber is the video origionally was called 1 christian vs 20 atheists, and you see in the video at least one atheist brought up the video title that they all knew before they started. (In other words, Jordan Peterson specifically volunteered to play the christian in a video that when he agreed to it was called, 1 christian vs 20 atheists) Then later demanded they rename the video.

But further its simple, JP preffers to attack people’s specific stances, from a nebulous position where he never has to give his own stance because he can’t defend his own stance.

  • Elon wants more money to spend on his shitty companies

Well more than that, musk wants the nail in the coffin for all the government agencies that want to tell him things like, you can’t work people to death, you can’t tell people cars are self driving when they crash into stuff on their own, you can’t commit massive frauds, you can’t spew poison gas all over Memphis, etc…

Musk benefit’s massively from a huge chunk of what he ordered DOGE to do, even if we only count the destruction of the departments he shut down, and don’t factor in the possibility that the money may be re-alocated towards his own companies.

  • Honestly it sounds like the opposite. I’ve been there before… having feelings for someone but not being able to act on them. Feeling complete jealousy when she begins dating someone else, it can fucking hurt big time. People can say it’s selfish or whatever, but honestly the feeling can tear the hell out of someone, and it’s better for both parties to cut ties.

However it is really tricky to handle it. Because you can’t let it sound like an ultimatum (IE sleep with me or I’m out).

IMO the only real way to go about it is, shoot your shot. Ask her officially on a date, if she would like to consider taking things to a relationship level. If she seems not to want it, I’d try and fade out the friendship slowly. IE actually make yourself busier. Commit to more events with other friends, pick up a time consuming hobby etc…

Most friendships drift apart anyway. If you want to spend less time with her, start spending more time on something else and let the friendship burn out the natural way they tend to do.

  • Exactly why on so many things it’s like… even when it looks like they are getting it, they don’t get it. Kind of like watching bluesky rising right now. Unless I’m majorly missing something here. It looks like it’s kind of open and kind of federated…

Except in a form that no one can feasibly create their own node. One change in leadership or goals of leadership away, and it can turn into the same neo nazi trash that people are joining it to get away from.

  • I mean if the game is in standard files on the phone… sftp server is more or or less enabled by default, or 1-2 commands to turn on in most linux distributions (“sudo systemctl enable sshd --now” would do it on distro’s that don’t have it on by default). and plenty of sftp clients available for ios and android. I’ve never used localsend, but it’s pretty explicitly cross platform, snap is default on ubuntu based ones so in their examples it would install from the single command “snap install localsend”.

Now running the game assuming it’s a made for windows one, just requires wine to be installed. Which is default on some distro’s, or a checkbox or single command to install on others, but unlikely to be a huge challenge.

  • I mean ethically it’s kind of in the air. Personally I only recomend pirating when there isn’t a viable FOSS alternative, and without very specific reasons IMO there’s some nice linux distro’s out there. Personally I feel so bogged down when forced to use windows for work or to help others etc… and these days you can run pretty much anything beyond certain online games that refuse to allow linux through their anti-cheat.

Now when it does come to software in general, I guess it depends on the view. IMO there’s 3 categories that make a big difference there.

Software is bad/not worth the price: Well if you believe that why use it at all.

Software is good, worth the money but you are broke: Honestly on the whole I agree with pirating in these situations… however I would actually recomend buying it when your finances allow. You should want to support products that you use and help you.

software is good, but exploitative in methods: IE say adobe with their forced subscription models etc… To me that one makes the most sense and probably agree with you.

software is good, but their anti-piracy is stupid: IE a lot of good software programs, throw in anti-piracy measures that wreck the game. IE things that require you to always be connected to a server, that may be unreliable, to access resources that are on your computer. Yeah fuck those guys, definately pirate it.

Bottom line, it’s basically the exact same intentional misinterpretation that the right does with DEI.

IE what DEI actually calls for: Look for candidates everywhere, give a shot to them all regardless of race or background.

What they act like it is: “You have to pick the minority candidate no matter how underqualified he/she is”.

Same concept as the left wants for our candidates. What we want isn’t an auto force out the old guys… we want actual fair competitions that picks candidates by their actual abilities and skills, rather than just the assumption that the person who’s had that seat for 30 years, should keep it over a new person that wants the job.

  • Disqualifying no… though I would say it’s a disadvantage, just as being a woman is. IMO it’s a bigger disadvantage than being a woman, in the fact that more religious groups are outright opposed to gay people being allowed to be out.

So in short, it could win the democratic primary in theory. It would take an especially weaker than normal republican candidate.
