From a recent argument on here.

If you back-in to park in a typical parking lot, instead of just pulling in, I fucking hate you. I don’t give a shit what your dumbass excuses are. It’s NEVER faster or safer. There’s no epidemic of backing over people. You could back in over someone same as bavking out over someone. But that basically never happens anyways. But there’s certainly shitloads of morons who clearly can’t handle their vehicles or geometry and inconvenience the hell out of others as we sit and wait forever for your poor attempts to back-in and then straighten out two more times.

For everyone’s insistence on doing this, they sure as hell fucking suck at it.

Now go buy a smaller car since you can’t handle yours, learn to pull in and back out since it’s simpler, and stop justifying the idiocy.

Given all of my unresolved prior trauma caused almost exclusively by my upbringing around those believing? No thanks. Fuck everyone that believes this shit. It too clearly self-selects the narcissist asshole who wants excuses to not have to answer for how shitty they are. They ram it into EVERYTHING and use it as a blanket for pure judgment amd shame of others. Fuck em all.

And don’t give me this religion vs spirituality bullshit. Very clearly the vast majority are affected by religion. It ain’t my job to sort through that when 99% are clearly bad apples.

I’m speaking from actual personal traumatic experiences from childhood home, multiple churches, multiple schools, and lots of extended family and family friends. Fuck. Them. All.

  • Absolutely. With all forms of art, I feel this is an extension of the Death of the Author concept, in that you separate the art from the artist, and it has less to do with what the artist intended and more to do with your take and interpretation of something, good or bad, and it’s effect and meaning for you.

For example, due to my childhood and lots of past trauma, I harbor some deeply resentful and hateful feelings toward Christians and Christianity in general. However, there are some Christian rock and metal bands I have always loved, and a lot of their music doesn’t always scream religion at me. I appreciate and enjoy some of these still today, despite the fact they ultimately are representing something I detest. The way I enjoy it and what it means to me is different from what they intended.

No different than if one child messes up the Lego build that another built. This is nothing new, only digital. Typical sibling annoyance.

Struggling to parent this issue is just showing signs of being a shitty parent.

You tell them to knock it off and teach one child to have empathy and care for others by thinking of how they’d feel if someone messed up something they built.

Sometimes you could also just chalk it up to kids being kids, so long as it isn’t constant.

But to be honest, at these ages, the 5 year old probably doesn’t fully understand. Just need to put some limits and maybe have them stay in their own sandbox in the game for now.

  • The Bible is a collection of random manuscripts that men long ago decided were “holy” enough. On top of that, there is no “bible.” Almost every sect of Christianity has different forms of this Bible, some involving different included or excluded scripts, and numerous varying translations or rewrites.

Has always been astonishing to me how many Christians believe their Bible is the only one. They get in their little echo chambers and just assume their experience is what everyone else experiences. I’ve seen this ignorance also translate to non-religious topics as well. They just assume their world view is THE world view.

Fuck religion. But especially fuck general Christianity. It self-selects the narcissist looking for an excuse book to wave a magic wand and be absolve of their shittyness.

Just FYI this comment comes from a childhood of abuse followed by “I’ll only need to answer to god.”

Grossly oversimplifying how the Democrats SQUASH real progressives and bring watered down meager “progress.” Despite the fact survey after survey will show the vast majority of the country wants significant progressive change or at least agrees with the ideas, like right to abortion or gun control measures, or expanded healthcare.

They lost multiple times in the last decade by forcing candidates the majority clearly did not want, but settled for. They forced Biden back into the picture, and Biden was unwilling to do anything serious or drastic while he had the reigns.

They toss out ideas cranked up to 4 instead of 10, get challenged, and then throw up their hands like they’re all out of options while the other side destroys the place with them.

Look at Schumers actions last month with the Continuing Resolution. Pathetic weasel.

Yes. The literal Nazi is the worst. But that doesn’t make the democrats actions okay. The democrats have been the enablers who allowed it to get this far with the Nazis. Together, both parties are doing everything they can to control the narrative and not let it get out of their hands.
