  • I mean, it’s still quite the elephant in the room that hasn’t really been talked about.

Judaism is a restricted affair, you have to be born into it to be considered a part of the group that God has chosen to be saved. To them, almost everyone else is permanently non qualified, therefore they are not in the group. If you do want to convert, you have to jump through a bunch of hoops, and put up with a ritual of rejection until you’re accepted. By definition it’s an ethno-relegious group.

From that viewpoint, it’s only a skip away from ethno-nationalism, which is what Zionism is.

Unlike Christianity and Islam which offer the ability to join, and actively convince you to join. (Also Hinduism, Buddhism, etc).

There are only about 15 million Jews compared to 2.6 billion Christian and 1.9 billion Muslims.

    Food for thought.

  • Dawg it was called the Crusades because it was exclueivley Christian nations fighting with Muslim nations over Jerusalem. Jews were essentially bystanders who often opted for the Islamic empire where they were allowed to live and not be constantly slaughtered by their Christian empire counterparts.

Israel as a functioning idea was introduced by the zionist movement of the 20th century, which Orthodox jews still condemn to this day because they claim there should not be a Jewish state without their Messiah.

To add to even more irony, the modern successors to these empires being Britain and Turkey actually lost interest in control of the holy land because it didn’t provide any substantial geopolitical power or resources. The Ottoman empire failed to protect it and lost the entirey of Trans Jordan in WWI, and Britain noped out right after WWII when they realized it could absolve them of having to provide for Jews in Europe.

  • I mean Israel has done this, and also failed to do it one time:

On 10th October, 2001, Israelis attempted to bomb the Mexican Legislative Assembly and blame it on Pakistan. They had false Pakistani passports but were caught.

More likely though this is not the case as full false flags happen when something much larger is at stake. Israel is sitting decently comfortably right now, even with Europe suddenly switching sides (which is more likely to do with Trump’s crappy foreign policy).

There’s always a higher chance of intentional neglect, like Israel’s “failure” to spot Hamas’s original invasion plans because they wanted a reason for escalation. It’s entirely possible they were aware of a threat but chose not to act.

Then again with how fast the media is all over this, who knows.

  • Lol Modi let this play out just like he did for 2019, it’s even likely that he induced the attack himself, whether through Pakistan or directly. Imran Khan even predicted there’d be another Pulwama in 5 years, and he was right.

The wave of drones and ballistic missiles did practically minimal damage to both sides, even Brahmos took a slew of missiles to get past point defense. Pakistan army did jack during their return fire operation.

The only real damage was the aircraft in the air. I think Modi had this planned out with Munir as a stunt, but he wasn’t expecting PAF to function autonomously. He seemed pretty pissed about the ceasefire probably because he wasn’t expecting to lose several jets.*

Internationally, everyone is reporting on the initial air fight, but in Pakistan its Munir’s face plastered on every wall and tv channel, and in India it’s Modi’s.

*I’m not the only one who shares this idea BTW, several analysts have claimed that the IAF was caught quite off guard because they were under the assumption PAF wouldn’t engage with BVRs across the border. They think it was a political failure in planning the operation, and not the lack of capabilities of pilots and/or aircraft (as much as I like to think it is lol).

  • The operation is over now, if you want the latest details, I begrudgingly suggest following the posts on r/Pakistan because there’s barely a Pakistani community on lemmy.

Still active drones crossing the border, a ton of them shot down with lots of pictures and videos. Several videos of India and Pakistan’s airbases getting targeted and/or hit by missiles.

India lost 3 jets already during their attack, but they seem to be penetrating Pakistan’s airspace well with drones and at the very least reaching close to critical targets.

There’s also a very unconfirmed report of a pilot captured due to a video of what appears to be a parachute, but neither India nor Pakistan has made claims of any shot down jets today.
