Eh, while I agree that some recommendations are dodgy at best, I’ll argue that Wireguard is not only adding to security, it also makes Fail2Ban obsolete. Due to the way it works, you’ll completely hide the fact that you’re even running a SSH server at all, and this includes even Wireguard itself. More importantly though, it’s pretty much impossible to set up Wireguard in an insecure way, whereas SSH provides you with plenty of footguns. You’re not risking locking yourself out either.
Also, security comes in layers.
Exactly. No root login and no password login will do just fine as basic measures, but after that Wireguard is perfect tool for this, no weird rituals required and also quite useful for any other services you don’t want and/or need to expose to the internet as well.

Like, how often do you run into a situation where you need something 3D-printed while on the go, but simultaneously have enough free time to set this thing up in a protected area and wait a long time for the print to finish? Exactly. When purchasing any modern device I ask myself as to how much a company can screw me if they turn hostile out of nowhere. If I can’t handle that risk, I don’t purchase that product. Not having open source firmware that’s connected to the internet is a huge red flag.
You would think that everybody owning a 3D printer would at least be somewhat of a tinkerer and therefore oppose this. Looking around however I’ve already seen a frustrating amount of people ridiculing the people calling this out. You’re probably right though and the people who don’t care will probably mostly have gathered around Bambu.

In this case it was most likely she herself. The original black and white comic has the name, but the colorized version was most likely been taken from her shop (link), which doesn’t feature the name.
I’m however impressed by how utterly the person copying the picture messed up the picture. Not only is the crop completely awful, but they also tried to “restore” the comic by giving it a digital look, over-saturating everything in the process, including the JPEG artifacts of the original photo.
On the other hand, NVIDIA has started to consolidate all these technologies as the NVIDIA DLSS suite a few months ago for some reason.
So it’s DLSS Super Resolution and DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Ray Reconstruction and so on, with the exception of DLAA. Probably because that would get too stupid even for them.
Not any specific model, but I kinda like low-profile keyboards using scissor switches often found in laptops. Not as great as a mechanical, but I like how they bring over some of the aspects of clicky/tactile switches while also being low profile.

Sorry, but this comment left me completely stunlocked. Why am I supposed to solve the problems to a problem you’ve created? Since when is trying to prove your point not how an argument works? What even is an argument anymore?
So what happens when a platform grows and that threshold is reached one day? Force everyone to de-anonymize and potentially reveal sensitive information about themselves or abandon their account?
There’s just no good way to force only some to de-anonymize without running into problems.
While I believe in the right to online anonymity, I also don’t think that de-anonymization would even work, when I see the same garbage being posted in places that enforce real names. It just doesn’t seem like a detractor to those types of people.
Instead, I’d rather want to see harsher punishments for big sites failing to moderate their content. I’d also take a look at these personalized “recommendation” engine and maybe ban them altogether. (Bonus points if it also affects personalized ads.)

I’ve made similar coasters a while ago, just with a stone tile as the base. Despite having to endure a cup of hot tea every day, it’s holding up very well so far and stays clean.
The PETG did minimally deform after months of using it, which is both good and bad. On one hand it’s now formed in a way that perfectly fits the specific cup I use, but that also means that it’s become a bad fit for every other cup or glass.
Your comment about using TPU has given me the idea however to make the tile reversible with the current PETG on one side and Flex material on the other.
Ok, I think I’m starting to see the issue now. One thing I’ve missed is that the “tiny” amount Germany is importing yearly is actually half of the consumption South Sweden. That sure puts a bit of stress on the system.
I’ll say that I’m still not fully convinced due to the lack of concrete numbers, but it’s something I’ll keep in mind in the future.
I can’t find a way to dodge the paywall to that article, but the short blurb I was able to translate, makes it sound like my guess is at least part of the problem:

That said, I do agree that Germany should’ve long been split into two zones, at least until transmission capacity catches up. But alas, most people in Germany don’t even recognize that the lack of transmission capacities as the source of the problem and rather blame it on us importing expensive electricity from France.
It’s actually those parallels why I’m so distrustful: I’m far from an expert on the topic, quite the opposite if anything, but given how many people, even politicians, put out even dumber claims much more confidently, I’m always wary about such statements.
Based on the article, it seems more like that’s more of a problem of south Sweden just having a big energy deficit in general, not as a result of imports/exports or the actions of Germany particular.
The way I understand it, it’s more that a new connection just wouldn’t make sense because Germany already has a problem from moving energy from its own offshore wind parks in the north to the south.
I couldn’t find a good article explaining the current energy situation in south Sweden, but looking at ElectrityMaps, I’d guess that part of the problem is that there’s a huge amount of nuclear energy being produced in South Central Sweden, saturating the grid and making the transfer of cheap hydro and wind energy from the northern Zones difficult.
There are some caveats, but you could always extend your storage capabilities with a USB-DAS. I currently have two with 4 slots each extending a small NUC-style server.
PS: I don’t see a mention of at least one SSD. If not already planned, you should at the very least use one for the OS.
